Civil Structures/Bridges

Both directors in McLean Johnson have a world of experience in the civil and structural engineering design of infrastructure. From bridges including experience on the Taiwan High Speed Rail bridges and viaducts which are design for ductile failure through the inclusion of a plastic hinge to Main Road bridges with previous employers. We have the knowledge, detail and resolve to meet complex bridge projects. We also have experience in civil structures including culverts, causeways and drainage structures to provide smart design solutions to difficult problems.

We can assist you in your next infrastructure project including road alignment and pavement design, drainage structures, and civil structures including bridges.

Power and Energy

We also have many years of design and construction experience in the power industry, with one of our directors having delivered significant projects for transmission and distribution companies in Queensland and also private multinationals. We understand civil design parameters of substation, switchyards, generation and transmission projects including earthing implications and the importance of the electrical interface in design.

Water

Our directors have experience in water reticulation and waste water treatment plants including the design of water retaining structures (AS3735), and understand the process involved in water treatment plants.
